“My Dream Is To Play For Arsenal”

Lierse SK striker Mohamed El-Gabbas has bumped up his profile by scoring three goals in three games to help his club avoid relegation from the Belgian top division. Now the Egyptian forward has revealed his dream to play for Arsenal in the Premier League.
According to TalkSport Radio El-Gabbas’ early experience of the Premier League has him wishing for a return to England. He was a member of Newcastle’s youth set-up in 2005 when he was 17 but unfortunately he had to go back to Egypt because he was unable to secure a work-permit.
Speaking to the Belgian newspaper HLN, he said: “At 17 I was involved with Newcastle and learnt much about professional football”.
He continued: “I had to return to Egypt because I couldn’t obtain a work license but my goal is to play in the Premier League again – my dream is to go to Arsenal”.
Although the ambition is a lofty one for El-Gabbas he may be in with a chance since Arsène Wenger may be on the look-out for a new striker with Nicklas Bendtner and Marouane Chamakh rumoured to be heading to the Emirates Stadium exit this summer.
