Mancini admits that Cesc Fabregas is his top target

With all the usual tapping-up from Barcelona, it is often forgotten that there may be other clubs that may be interested in buying Cesc Fabregas, and are more likely to fork out the Arsenal valuation of £50m for the Spanish international.
One of these is obviously Roberto Mancini’s “Moneybags” Man City, who have the financial backing to buy any player in the World.
Last night City secured their participation in the Champions League next season, and after the game Mancini was grilled by journalists about his possible transfer dealings this summer. He was asked quite simply which one player he would want to take the Premiership title to the Eastlands next season, and he answered without hesitation “Cesc Fabregas”.
It would certainly give Fabregas a dilemma if Mancini persuaded Wenger to accept the £50m, as the Gunners captain has always said that he would only move to Barcelona if he left Arsenal.
Perhaps we would find out if he really is a lover of his home town or just a mercenary like the rest of them…..
