Bendtner – I want to replace Messi at Barcelona!

The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is hoping to sit down with Wenger at the end of the season to discuss his future. Bendtner is unhappy with his role in the side and hopes that a discussion with the manager will help him decide whether his future lies with the Gunners or somewhere else.
Bendtner has made 28 appearances for Arsenal this season but most were as substitutes. He has scored nine goals so far, less than in the previous two seasons.
According to Football365 he is not happy with his role in the squad. He said: “I need to have a talk with Wenger because I’m not satisfied with playing on the right wing, which I’ve done more or less all season long”.
He continued: “I’m concentrating on getting our Champions League place and then we’ll do the evaluation at the end of the season. It’s certainly not the best thing for me but it’s not up to me and sometimes you have to adapt to what the manager says”.
Bayern Munich are one of the clubs thought to be interested in the striker, but true to his character he says he would love to play for Barcelona. “If it’s a free choice, I choose Barcelona. I’ve never had any idols in the football world but if I had a dream player to play with then it would be Xavi and Iniesta”.
Arsène Wenger will evaluate the Arsenal squad at the end of the season, if he wants to bring in new players he will probably need to get rid of some of the current players and Bendtner is very likely to be one of the players allowed to leave, but there is little chance that Barcelona will be putting in a bid!
